Marshall Pecora is a freelance illustrator, writer, and painter living, working, and playing in Cleveland, Ohio. Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Illustration and a minor in Creative Writing from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2023.
Marshall’s art practice focuses on crafting cute and whimsical compositions and narratives that showcase human as well as anthropomorphic characters. These illustrations incorporate handmade textures with collage and use watercolor washes, colored pencils, and waxy crayons.
There is an unabashed celebration of his queer and transgender experiences within his work with an emphasis on materiality. His work has been showcased at multiple exhibitions at CIA in the Reinberger gallery, Hildebrandt Artists Collective, and Waterloo Arts.
